10am – 12noon Lafayette at Historic Tuckahoe Plantation
Spend the morning at Tuckahoe with the Marquis de Lafayette. Enjoy a reenactment of the Lafayette's speech when he returned to the United States after the Revolutionary War. The Goochland Culinary Arts students have prepared delicious food for your enjoyment.
Get to know other history buffs from the area and around the State. Feel free to dress in your best from 1824 or dress comfortably.
Tickets: $30 person
This event will benefit Elk Hill.
1pm-2pm Dedication of the Lafayette Marker
After our special time at Tuckahoe, we will proceed to the Goochland Courthouse area to the dedication of the Lafayette Historical Marker.
After the dedication, join us for a refreshment at Courthouse Creek Cidery,
Food and Cider will be available for purchase. Join us and mingle with the Marquis de Lafayette.

About the 250 Committee
Goochland has partnered with the Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission (VA250). The VA250 Commission was established in 2020 by the General Assembly to commemorate the anniversary of the American Revolution.
Goochland County adopted a resolution of support on December 6, 2022, with the understanding that the Goochland Historical Society would form and lead the Goochland committee.
Appointed by the Goochland Historical Society, the Goochland VA 250 Committee includes:
